That the draft brochure produced by the Town of Markham Race Relations

And that Corporate Communications oversee the brochure being
professionally finished.

Council
presented the Markham Museum Board Ted Scaysbrook Memorial Award to Mr. Jim
Wicks for his outstanding volunteer work and recognizing him as a major
contributor to the Markham Museum.

Mr. Hal Hill,
Representative, Markham Men of Note made a presentation regarding their trip to
Noerdlingen, Germany.
(3) PRESENTATION
OF COPPER ETCHING FROM
NOERDLINGEN, GERMANY (12.2.6)
Council
received a copper etching of Noerdlingen,
Germany that was presented to Councillor George McKelvey and Mr. Regan
Hutcheson, Manager of Heritage Planning when they visited Noerdlingen, Germany
in October 2003. This etching is from Aksel Rinck, Head of the museum in Noerdlingen and
the driving force behind the cultural alliance between Noerdlingen and Markham.

That the presentation of Mr. Hal Hill, on behalf of the Markham Men of
Note regarding their upcoming trip to Noerdlingen, Germany, be received;
And that their request for funding in the amount of $20,000 to assist
with that trip be referred to staff for a report to the February 2, 2004
Finance and Administrative Committee meeting;
And that Mr. Hal Hill be notified of the particulars of that meeting.
