RECOMMENDATION:

THAT the presentation by Fire Chief Don McClean be received.

PURPOSE:

To update Council on the Fire and Emergency Services training needs and the progress of the Richmond Hill Training Centre program.

BACKGROUND:

Fire and Emergency services have a legislative requirement to maintain technical training to perform all duties within the established service level safely and effectively. There are many ways to achieve this requirement. This is an update on the need for a Training Centre and there is an attachment with Richmond Hill’s business case for a training centre.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

Addressed within current budget at this time.
