The Meeting of

Buie presiding as Chair.
Mike Schreyer made
a short presentation to the Board concerning f Jenna Rae Fearnley an employee
of the Museum, who recently passed away from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He expressed
that she always had dreams of creating a children’s garden at the museum. He
would like to create a memorial garden in honor of her. Mike Schreyer advised
that he has currently raised $10,000 towards this dream.
Mike advised
that a specific event called Dance with Jenna has been created to help raise additional
monies; more information regarding Jenna and their fundraising efforts can be
found at www.dancewithjenna.com.
Their current goal is to raise and additional $15,000 by May 2011.
Mike discussed
three important initiatives: 1. to have a sustainable garden, 2. investing in
youth, and 3. investing in quality of life.
Suggestion was
also made to apply for grants to help maintain garden. Randy Barber suggested
planting specific plants that would attract butterflies to add to the
beautification of garden.

discuss the garden in further detail. Cathy
Molloy also advised that we could get support from Linda Irvin to help plan the garden.

go right to Jenna Rae Fearnley’s website www.dancewithjenna.com
