Communication techniques for the site identification programme include the Digital Advertising Network including a proposed electronic display board at the Civic Centre, and newspaper articles and supplements

Staff advised that the Milliken Library will be included in the near future.

Committee discussed the terminology of “Business Park” and whether the Markham Centre identity should be copyrighted or protected. Staff was directed to consult with Engineering staff with respect to fill and soil testing on the Remington site.

Committee debated the feasibility of a volumetric model to demonstrate massing and for public displays. Issues include costs, scale, portability, size of model necessary to display a useful scale, the flexibility of master plans and the frequent changes in structure proposals, and a comparison to the existing Communityviz 3D display tool.
