SUBJECT:	2005 Fourth Quarter Update of the Street Name Reserve List

RECOMMENDATION:

That Development Services Committee receive the updated street name reserve list for the fourth quarter of 2005, attached as Appendix ‘A’ to the January 10, 2006 staff report.

PURPOSE:

This report provides the Development Services Committee with a quarterly update of the Street Name Reserve List for the fourth quarter of 2005.

BACKGROUND:

The Director of Planning and Urban Design has authority for the assignment of street names from the Town’s street name reserve list to draft plans of subdivision, subject to staff providing the Development Service Committee with a quarterly updated street name reserve list indicating newly proposed names, for approval.

OPTIONS/DISCUSSION:

A revised street name reserve list is attached as Appendix ’A’ to this report for review by the Development Services Committee. It includes all previously approved street names that are either still available for use, or have been reserved, but not used. Additional street names proposed during the fourth quarter of 2005 are indicated in the “New Additions” column. Certain names have been deleted from the previous list to reflect names taken from the reserve list and applied to new streets through recent plan registrations.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

There are no financial implications arising from this report.

BUSINESS UNITS CONSULTED AND AFFECTED:

The Fire Department reviews all street names added to the reserve list.
