PURPOSE:


To inform Council of items authorized (Attachment A) by the Chief Administrative Officer during the annual Council summer recess between the last meeting in June and the next regular Council meeting as per By-law 4-2000.

 

 

Approval/authorization by Chief Administrative Officer during summer recess:


Delegation under By-law 4-2000 authorizes the Chief Administrative Officer to call public meetings, grant site plan approval, grant draft plan approvals and extensions to draft plan approvals, initiate special advertising and to act on any general administrative issues that may be necessary in the absence of Council during the summer recess.

 

Following is a list of items related to development applications within the Planning and Urban Design Department authorized/approved by the Chief Administrative Officer during the summer recess:

Diagram Developments Inc. – Authorization to hold Public Meeting related to an application for zoning by-law amendment to rezone lands that were previously identified on the draft plan as a parkette from Open Space One (OS1) to Residential Two (R2) to allow 5 single detached lots.

H. Roy Gray Limited – Authorization to hold Public Meeting related to an application for zoning by-law amendment to permit limited retail and service users in addition to the industrial uses already permitted on the property

Rocco Sciotto – Authorization to hold Public Meeting related to an application for a zoning by-law amendment to re-zone a portion of 56 Main Street Unionville from Open Space to Residential to permit the construction of a new single detached dwelling

Times Group Corp. – Obtain authorization to schedule a Public Meeting September 14th  for applications for OPA and ZBA to permit 103 additional residential units and revised parking standards on Block 50 (Eden Park Phase 2) in the Leitchcroft Community

Milliken Development Corporation – Authorization to hold Public Meeting related to the proposed Official Plan and zoning by-law amendments to permit four (4)Seniors’ buildings, ranging in height from 6-12 storeys, with a total of approximately 509 units at 31, 67 & 73 Old Kennedy Road and 4550 & 4576 Steeles Avenue

Lasseter Developments Inc. – An application for Draft Plan of Subdivision Approval, southwest corner of Major Mackenzie Drive and McCowan Road, Berczy Village
