The Development Services Public Meeting convened at 7:00 PM in the Council Chamber with Regional Councillor Jim Jones in the Chair.

1.         PRELIMINARY REPORT
            APPLICATION BY KLM PLANNING PARTNERS INC.
            ON BEHALF OF BOX GROVE COMMERCIAL EAST INC.
            FOR ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT TO ADD
            CHILD CARE CENTRE’ AS AN ADDITIONAL PERMITTED USE
            TO 570 COPPER CREEK DRIVE
            FILE NO. ZA 16 114886 (10.5)

The Public Meeting this date was to consider an application submitted by KLM Planning Partners Inc. on behalf of Box Grove Commercial East Inc. for Zoning By-law amendment to add 'Child Care Centre' as an additional permitted use to 570 Copper Creek Drive (ZA 16 114886).

 

The Committee Clerk advised that 176 notices were mailed on February 15, 2017, and a Public Meeting sign was posted on February 14, 2017.  No written submissions were received regarding this proposal.

 

Staff gave a presentation regarding the proposal, the location, surrounding uses and outstanding issues. Staff responded to questions regarding the location of the proposed use and potential impacts from adjacent uses with respect to safety and traffic. The Committee suggested that landscaping be Monarch Butterfly friendly. Councillor Logan Kanapathi requested to view the site plan with the applicants.

 

There were no comments from the audience with respect to this application.

1)         That the report dated February 13, 2017 titled “PRELIMINARY REPORT, Application by KLM Planning Partners Inc. on behalf of Box Grove Commercial East Inc., for Zoning By-law Amendment to add ‘Child Care Centre’ as an additional permitted use at 570 Copper Creek Drive” be received; and,

 

2)         That the Record of the Public Meeting held on March 7, 2017, with respect to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment application to add ‘Child Care Centre’ as an additional permitted use at 570 Copper Creek Drive” be received; and,

 

3)         That the application submitted by KLM Planning Partners Inc. on behalf of Box Grove Commercial East Inc., to amend  in-force Zoning By-law 177-96, as amended, be approved; and,

 

4)         That the proposed amendment to in-force Zoning By-law 177-96, as amended, be enacted without further notice; and,


 

 

5)         That Councillor Logan Kanapathi meet with staff and the applicant to view the site plan; and further,

 

6)         That Staff be authorized and directed to do all things necessary to give effect to this resolution.
