1. MINUTES

Recommendation:
That the
minutes of the Committee of the Whole meeting held on September 11, 2001 be
confirmed.
2. SENIORS EXTRAVAGANZA - REQUEST
FOR GRANT (7.6)
Recommendation:
That a grant
in the amount of $3000 be approved for the 3rd annual Non-Profit Theatrical presentation
being held by the Seniors' Extravaganza Volunteer Committee on October 29,
2001.
3. PROVINCIAL
PERFORMANCE MEASURES
FOR THE YEAR 2000 (7.0)
Committee had
before it a report dated September 25, 2001 from the Corporate Services
Commission entitled 'Provincial Performance Measures for the year 2000.' The Treasurer pointed out that Appendix 2
indicates additional measures that will be reported to the public. These additional measures are not mandated
by legislation, but report information to the community about the Town of
Markham and its operations.
Recommendation:
That the
report dated September 25, 2001 entitled "Provincial Performance Measures
for the year 2000", be received;
And that staff
publish the 14 mandatory Provincial performance measures on the Town of Markham
website, the Town of Markham 2000 Annual Report, the Markham Economist and Sun
and the Thornhill Liberal;
And that
Council approve the release of additional efficiency & effectiveness
measures in a manner similar to that of the mandatory Provincial performance
measures.
