The Honourable
Justice Bruce A. Glass, Superior Court Judge, administered the Declaration of
Office to the Mayor and Members of Council as required by the provisions of
Section 232 of the Municipal Act, 2001.
PRESENTATION
OF CHAIN OF OFFICE
Ms. Sheila
Birrell, Town Clerk presented the Chain of Office to Mayor F. Scarpitti.
The Clerk
certified that the Mayor and Members of Council had subscribed to the required
Oaths of Office and requested that His Worship Mayor F. Scarpitti assume the

He advised Deputy Mayor J. Jones was recovering from a recent medical
procedure and was unable to be present.
Council expressed best wishes to Deputy Mayor J. Jones.

Regional Councillor Jim Jones be appointed Deputy Mayor for a term of office to
expire November 30, 2010.
