OF JOHN HONSBERGER (12.2.6)
Council
recognized Mr. John Honsberger for sharing his enjoyment of a park located at
Elgin Street and Vintage Lane in Thornhill.
(2) QUEEN
ELIZABETH II DIAMOND JUBILEE MEDAL
RECIPIENT RECOGNITION (12.2.6)
A new
commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th
anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as
Queen of Canada. The Queen Elizabeth II
Diamond Jubilee Medal is a tangible way for Canada to honour Her Majesty for
her service to this country. At the same
time, it serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by
Canadians.

thanked Mr. John Webster, Chair, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Committee
of Markham, for his efforts in organizing the event.
Mr. Webster
provided a brief summary of the celebrations of the 60th
anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as
Queen of Canada. He thanked Members of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Committee
of Markham and community volunteers for their dedication in organizing the
celebrations.
