Chamber, Civic Centre. Mayor Frank

TO BOARD & COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT POLICY
& BY-LAW TO APPOINT A
COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT (16.24)

1) That Council receive the staff report
entitled “Revisions to Board & Committee Appointment Policy & By-law to
Appoint Committee of Adjustment” be received; and,
2) That Council approve the “Board &
Committee Appointment Policy”, as revised by Council on September 7, 2011
(Appendix A to the staff report); and,
3) That
a By-Law (Appendix B to the staff report) be passed to repeal and replace
By-Law No. 11-71 (Appendix C to the staff report), a by-law to appoint a
Committee of Adjustment; and further,
4) That
Staff be authorized and directed to do all things necessary to give effect to
this resolution.

Council consented to delete
the following Section 6.14 contained in the Board and Committee Appointment
Policy:
Deleted Section 6.14
“Once Council makes its
appointments, the Mayor’s Office will send a letter to all unsuccessful
applicants thanking them for their interest”.
and to replace with the
following revised Section 6.14:
Revised Section 6.14
“Once Council makes its
appointments, the Town will send a letter to all successful and unsuccessful
applicants, congratulating them and thanking them for their interest
respectively”.
